Wuaki.tv reaches 3 million global users

Movie and TV streaming service Wuaki.tv has reached 3 million users globally, after growing its audience base by 55% over the past year.

According to stats released by the company, Wuaki reached 2 million users in Span this week after growing by 600,000 users in the last 12 months.

The site’s remaining users come from its other international markets – the UK and Ireland, France, Italy, Germany and Austria.

Wuaki founder and CEO Jacinto Roca credited the company’s Spanish gains to the increase of the video-on-demand awareness, brought about by other strong players in the Spanish market.

The company added that it aims to be live in more than 15 market by end of this year.
