Vimond eyes US growth with new office

Norway-based online TV specialist Vimond Media Solutions has opened a new regional office in New York city to support its growing business in North America.

Vimond said that it had large-scale deployments in North America last year, with

Comcast and Thomson Reuters both launching online services based on Vimond Media Solutions’ product portfolio and professional services.

Vimond’s CEO, Helge Høibraaten, and CTO, Glenn Pedersen, will oversee the expansion and are both now based in New York.

“Vimond’s traction in the US made it clear to us that now is the right time for us to take the venture to the next level. We felt we could strengthen our presence far beyond the borders of Europe by establishing ourselves in New York” said Høibraaten.

“This way, we  can  offer high level, on-the-ground collaboration and support to our customers across the US, and a direct channel of communication to the R&D headquarters”.
