Canal+’s Saada takes over at Dailymotion
Vivendi has appointed Canal+ chief Maxime Saada to take over the presidency of video-sharing and aggregation site Dailymotion from Cédric Tournay, who is leaving the group.
Saada, who is already vice-president of Dailymotion, will combine his new role with his existing position as CEO of Canal+. He will focus on developing further synergies between Dailymotion, which has about 3.5 billion views per month, the pay TV group and other Vivendi interests, such as Universal Music Group.
Saada will be assisted by existing deputy CEOs Giuseppe de Mortino and Martin Rogard who are staying on at Dailymotion.
Tournay joined Dailymotion in 2009 from health website Doctissimo.
