Scripps fills newly created EMEA marcoms role
Scripps Networks Interactive has appointed former Microsoft, Nokia and NBCU director, Maya Bhose, as vice-president of marketing and communications, UK and EMEA.
In the newly created post, Bhose will be responsible for all aspects of marketing and communications for the three lifestyle brands that Scripps Networks distributes in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa – Food Network, Travel Channel and Fine Living.
This will include brand strategy; consumer, affiliate, ad sales, social and digital marketing; and internal, corporate and consumer communications.
Bhose brings 20 years of marketing experience to the London-based role, including campaigns roles at Microsoft and Nokia, a head of brand marketing post at now-defunct UK online TV service SeeSaw and three years in a brand strategy position at NBCU Global Networks.
Most recently, Bhose was managing director at Mission Marketing and before joining Scripps was working as a freelance brand and marketing consultant.
“As we continue to expand our business across the UK & EMEA and invest more in local talent and original productions, Maya will play an integral role in bringing that strategy to life on all screens,” said Kevin Dickie, senior vice-president of channels, UK and EMEA.
