UPC DTH adds FilmBox Extra HD to offering

UPC DTH, Liberty Global’s satellite TV arm, has added SPI International’s FilmBox Extra HD channel to its premium movie channel offer in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania .

FilmBox Extra HD is now available to UPC DTH subscribers in the Filmbox Pak along with three other premium movie channels: FilmBox Premium, FilmBox Plus and FilmBox Family.

UPC DTH operates its services under the UPC Direct brand in Hungary and the Czech Republic, in Slovakia under the brand name freeSAT and in Romania under the FocusSat brand. Filmbox Extra HD is uplinked to Telenor Satellite’s Thor platform at 1°  West.

“The launch of FilmBox Extra HD is strengthening our Filmbox premium package on UPC DTH, which now includes four unique movie channels. The latest move also improves our channel line up on Telenor’s Thor 1°  West,” said Berk Uziyel, executive director of Filmbox International.
