A+E ups Khanna to international digital chief
A+E Networks has promoted Akhila Khanna to director, international digital media and business development.
Khanna, who will be based in London, will ontinue to oversee and grow digital content sales to VOD and OTT platforms outside the US, but as part of her expanded role, she will also analyse and execute digital business development projects globally, and support A+E Networks’ efforts to create revenue generating partnerships with other global media and technology companies.
She will also work on new channel launches and support the management of channels in Europe and the Middle East. Khanna reports to Kate Gutman, vice-president of international strategy and digital media.
Khanna joined A+E in 2009 as digital media coordinator in New York and was transferred to the London office in 2010. Prior to joining A+E, she worked as a feature segment producer at CNBC-TV18 in Mumbai and in the studio development department or NBCU in Burbank.
