Opera SDK included in Humax’s Freeview Play boxes

Opera’s HbbTV 2.0 SDK will see its first deployment in Humax’s new Freeview Play-enabled set-top boxes.

The Freeview Play service on Humax boxes uses the latest HbbTV specification, giving UK viewers easy access to both linear and on-demand content.

At IBC in September, Opera announced it would offer the ready-to-deploy, HTML-5-based, Hybrid Broadcast and Broadband TV (HbbTV) 2.0 software development kit to TV equipment manufacturers and set-top box makers.
