Biggam bows out from ACT

Ross Biggam

Ross Biggam, the director-general of the Brussels-based lobby group the Association of Commercial Television in Europe (ACT), is to leave his post at the end of October.

Biggam has served as the head of the organization since 2000. He was previously head of European affairs at UK commercial broadcaster ITV.

“I’ve enjoyed this chapter of my working life representing this fascinating and dynamic sector, and am proud to have doubled the membership of the Association in my time here as well as dealing with some complex regulatory issues,” said Biggam in an email.

“After more than 15 years in this role, I have decided it’s time to move on. Thanks to all past and present members of the ACT team for their support.”

ACT represents commercial broadcasters from 37 European countries and lobbies Brussels regulators to secure a beneficial regulatory framework for its members.
