nc+ adds new channels, boosts HD offering

Polish pay TV operator nc+ has added three new channels and is boosting its HD offering with nine additional services making the switch from standard definition, taking its HD total to 76.

The platform has also begun the process of migrating its services from DVB-S and MPEG-2 to DVB-S2 modulation and the MPEG-4 compression format.

New to nc+ are Nat Geo People HD, movie channel ATM Entertainment and local service NTL Radomsko.

Channels making the switch to HD-only on the platform include Disney Channel HD, Travel Channel HD, TV4 HD, Polsat 2 HD, Polsat Play HD, Polsat Café HD, Europe CBS HD, Extreme Sports HD and Fightbox HD.

In addition, SPI International’s Filmbox HD channel has become Filmbox Extra HD, while the former Filmbox Extra channel is rebranded as Filmbox Premium.
