Amazon launches Fire TV in Japan

Amazon has launched its Fire TV and Fire TV Stick devices in Japan, priced at JPN12,980 (€96.20) and from ¥4,980 (€36.90) respectively.

The Fire TV box includes 4K/ Ultra HD support, a 64-bit, quad-core processor and 2GB of memory.

The Fire TV Stick will come in two versions – the standard JPN4,980 model and JPY6,480 version that includes a voice-control remote. The streaming sticks include 1GB of RAM, Dolby Audio, 8GB on-device storage.

All three devices are available to pre-order now and will start shipping on October 28.
