Bloomberg to launch Bulgarian TV network

Bloomberg is due to launch a Bulgarian-language business news service, called Bloomberg TV Bulgaria, across all the country’s major cable and satellite networks.

Bloomberg is launching the channel in partnership with media group Bulgaria On Air, which claims it is the first international business and finance channel localised for a Bulgarian audience. The two companies said Bloomberg TV Bulgaria is due to go live “imminently.”

“With the launch of Bloomberg TV Bulgaria, we are continuing our mission to improve the financial literacy of Bulgarian citizens. Localising the global economic news agenda, and the role Bulgarian business plays in that, is key to the success of our new channel,” said Nikolina Dimitrova, executive director of Bloomberg TV Bulgaria.

Viktoria Mitkova, executive director of Bulgaria On Air said: “The launch of Bloomberg TV Bulgaria is a major milestone for Bulgaria On Air and the wider Investor Media Group, adding a standalone premium business channel to our portfolio of dedicated financial websites.

Bloomberg has partnered with Bulgaria On Air for more than two years, as s the primary provider of business and financial news content for Bulgaria On Air.
