Nat Geo People to launch in Romania and Poland
National Geographic Channels International (NGCI) is due to launch the Nat Geo People network in Romania on September 1 and in Poland on October 1.
The female-skewing factual network will be available through Telekom in Romania and via Cyfrowy Polsat and nc+ in Poland.
The launches follow previous rollouts of Nat Geo People, NGCI’s newest brand, in Denmark, Germany, Italy, and Turkey,
“We are delighted to add Nat Geo People to our channels’ portfolio in Romania and Poland,” said Carlos Ortega, executive vice-president of Fox International Channels Central and Eastern Europe.
“After the successful experience in other European countries, Nat Geo People will arrive to these markets as a new approach to factual content, and also as a natural extension of the National Geographic brand focused on true experiences of real people.”
Nat Geo People is designed to complement the NCGI’s male-skewing National Geographic Channel and Nat Geo Wild channels and airs “inspiring stories of real people all over the world.”
