SeaChange makes senior hires
TV technology provider SeaChange has created two new senior posts, naming Paul Crann as senior vice-president of product management and solutions architecture, and Mitchell Chun as senior vice-president of business development.
With all SeaChange product management and solutions architecture teams reporting to him, Crann will be responsible for facilitating strategy, development and execution for SeaChange’s OTT, multiscreen back office, advertising, home gateway and social media analytics products. He previously worked for BTI Systems, a software-driven network solutions provider for telecommunications and content service providers, where he was SVP of Product Marketing & Business Development.
Chun joined SeaChange as VP, business development upon the acquisition of Timeline Labs, of which he was co-founder, in February. His responsibilities now span evaluation and execution of technology and distribution alliances to strengthen SeaChange’s offerings to new geographies and market sectors, as well as supporting the Company’s NewCoin TV audience measurement joint venture.
Crann and Chun will both report to COO Ed Terino.
“SeaChange continues to sharpen its core competencies in software product creation and market delivery for our video service provider customers through top talent like Paul and Mitchell,” said SeaChange CEO Jay Samit. “I’m pleased to welcome Paul to our family and congratulate Mitchell on his promotion. Their focus on optimizing internal resources and expanding strategic alliances globally will strengthen SeaChange’s core market performance and enable us to establish our software innovations with broadcasters and emerging OTT providers.”
