Rebrand for Filmbox channels

SPI International/Filmbox will rebrand two of its flagship channels in Poland and Romania in September.

FilmBox HD will be renamed FilmBox Extra HD while FilmBox Extra will become FilmBox Premium.

FilmBox HD will also be renamed FilmBox Extra HD in the countries where it is carried by DTH platforms and cable networks – the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and the former Yugoslav countries. The channels’ profiles will remain unchanged.

“The name change comes as a result of an internal brand review, which indicated the need to clearly distinguish our flagship premium channel – currently called FilmBox Extra – from the other FilmBox brand channels and also to make it easier for our subscribers to navigate within the FilmBox channel offer. The new names allow for clearer identification of content featured on the particular channel,” said Berk Uziyel, executive director of FilmBox International.
