Wuaki.tv to accept PayPay payments in UK
Video-on-demand provider Wuaki.tv is now accepting PayPal payments from UK customers in addition to payment by credit card.
Wuaki.tv said has introduced PayPal payment in response to consumer demand for the service, citing the fact that there are 20 million active PayPal accounts in the UK, where PayPal is one of the most popular methods of online and mobile payment, accounting for around 20% of online transactions.
PayPal will be offered as a payment method across all markets on Wuaki.tv compatible devices – smart TV, smartphone and tablet apps, gaming consoles and the web.
“We are delighted to directly respond to the needs of our growing customer base in the UK, where we now have over 500,000 registered users. Research shows that many online shoppers view PayPal as more secure than using a Chip & PIN card in person – it is obviously a trusted and easy to use online payment method,” said David González, Payments Product Manager of Wuaki.tv.
“Adding this facility is in keeping with our commitment to combine the most user-friendly shopping experience possible with the most current, easy to access content. We value the trust that our customers place in us and will continue to respond and adapt to their changing needs and preferences at a local level. Demand from UK customers has exceeded our expectations since we launched in September 2013, and we look forward to welcoming more customers in the months ahead by offering the very best in entertainment at competitive prices.”
