Telenet audit committee chief resigns from board

Stefan Descheemaeker has resigned his role as independent director of Liberty Global-owned Belgian cable operator Telenet and chairman of Telenet’s audit committee.

Telenet’s directors have named Jo van Biesbroeck as new independent director and appointed him as chairman of Telenet’s audit committee, subject to confirmation by Telenet’s next general meeting.

Descheemaeker was permanent representative of investor SDS Invest. Van Biesbrock represents JoVB.
