Sport TV secures handball rights

AMC Networks International-Central Europe-owned Sport TV has secured exclusive rights to Velux EHF Champions League handball and the women’s EHF Champions League beginning with the 2015-16 season in Hungary.

The deal between EHF Marketing, the marketing arm of the European Handball Federation, and AMC Networks International-Central Europe will make Hungarian TV channels Sport1 and Sport2 the exclusive home for the EHF Champions League and other EHF European Cup events.

Sport1 and Sport2 will broadcast all games involving Hungarian teams and will produce additional programming around their live broadcasts.
