Farncombe acquired by US-based Cartesian
UK digital TV consultancy, Farncombe, has been acquired by Cartesian, a Kansas-based consulting firm to the global communications, technology and digital media industries.
Commenting on the deal, Cartesian CEO Peter Woodward said that Farncombe serves a complimentary client base and better positions Cartesian to support the digital TV needs of communications providers in North America and EMEA.
“We expect the acquisition to be accretive, and provide tremendous cross-selling and upselling opportunities across our combined customer base, particularly in strategy and analytics,” said Woodward.
Farncombe was founded in the early 1990s and specialises in digital TV services – offering technical and strategy consulting, implementation services, content security and testing.
The firm claims a global roster of more than 100 clients and its team is based in the UK and France.
“We are pleased to be joining Cartesian, a firm that also values excellence in delivery, analytics, and technology advancement, along with a strong ambition for growth,” said Farncombe managing partner, Steve Upton.
“We look forward to bringing our services to Cartesian clients and delivering an expanded offering to our existing client base.”
The deal was agreed for undisclosed terms.
