TF1’s Got to join France Télévisions as strategy and programme chief
Caroline Got, the managing director of TF1’s thematic channels TMC and NT1, is to move to public broadcaster France Télévisions as director of programmes and strategy, according to local reports.
In a move initially reported by Le Figaro, Got is expected to play a key role as part of new France Télévisions president Delphine Ernotte’s team after the latter takes up her post on August 22, and will be charged with helping to harmonise and define the position of the group’s channels, France 2, France 3, France 4 and France Ô.
Got, whose CV includes roles in film finance and production at pay TV operator TPS, now merged with Canal+, and a previous stint at France 3 in charge of the acquisition of foreign movies and TV series, joined TF1 in 2008.
Le Figaro earlier reported that Ernotte planned to name Vincent Meslet, currently editorial director of Arte France, as head of flagship channel France 2.
