TeliaSonera grows TV base and ARPU

TeliaSonera increased its TV base by modest amounts across most of the territories in which it is active in the second quarter, taking it to 1.586 million by the end of June, up from 1.572 million in March and up from 1.496 million a year ago.

In Sweden the telco added 8,000 homes in the quarter to take its TV total to 709,000, while in Finland it lost 2,000 TV customers, taking its total there to 491,000.

In Lithuania, local unit Teo added 3,000 TV homes in the quarter, taking its total to 195,000, while in Estonia Elion added 2,000 to take it to 168,000.  In Denmark, TeliaSonera’s local unit added 3,000 to take it to 23,000.

TV ARPU in Sweden reached SEK164 at the end of June, up from SEK160 in March, while in Finland TV ARPU fell from €8.90 in March to €8.80 in June. In Lithuania TV ARPU grew from €8.60 to €8.70, while in Estonia ARPU declined from €7.60 to €7.50.

In Denmark, TV ARPU increased from DKK392 to DKK407 over the quarter.
