Israel’s Yes joins MoCA
Israeli satellite TV service provider, Yes, has joined the Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA) as an associate member.
Established in January 2004, MoCA is an open, industry standards organisation with applications in home networking that was set up to develop and promote technology for the connected home.
MoCA technology is also used to extend Wi-Fi connectivity within the home, and has been adopted by cable, telco, IPTV and satellite operators around the world.
“Yes points to the significance the MoCA technology standard can provide to forward-looking service providers on every continent. We welcome yes to the Alliance and look forward to their insights and contributions toward reinforcing the Alliance a truly global standard,”said Charles Cerino, MoCA president.
“MoCA technology dovetails with our company goal of only using the most advanced technologies for our services,” said Itzhak Elyakim, VP engineering and CTO at yes. “Providing our customers with a highly reliable entertainment delivery is critical to our growth as a company.”
