Management team announced for Nordic telcos’ Danish JV
Nordic telcos Telenor and TeliaSonera have named Hilde Tonne, Telenor’s head of group industrial development, as the CEO of their new joint venture in Denmark.
Telia Denmark CEO Søren Abildgaard and chief financial officer Dennis Kilian have been named respectively as deputy CEO and CFO of the Danish outfit.
The trio will take up their new positions once the JV is established, subject to EC approval, which is expected in the second half of this year. Ahead of that, Tonne will take up an interim role as programme manager on August 1, heading a small Copenhagen-based team from both companies that will prepare for the merger.
“With the merger of Telia and Telenor we will become a robust operator in the Danish market. This will be beneficial for the customers who can look forward to valuable services and improved network experience. I also look very much forward to meet all the employees in Telia and Telenor in Denmark as we embark on the journey to establish a new joint venture in the Danish market,” said Tonne.
