Unitymedia to add new HD channels

Liberty Global-owned German cable operator Unitymedia is to expand its HD offering with the addition of four new free-to-view HD services.

The operator will add BBC World News HD, EinsFestival HD, 3sat HD and ZDFneo HD on July 1. The channels will be available to all Unitymedia customers and will take the number of unencrypted HD services on its platform to 11.
