Turner Broadcasting ups van der Wal to international CFO

Aksel van der Wal

Turner Broadcasting System has promoted chief financial officer (CFO) for Turner EMEA, Aksel van der Wal, to senior vice president and CFO, international. 

Effective July 1, van der Wal will be responsible for all financial operations across Turner’s international regions and will help shape the direction of the company’s international business and implement its strategy.

He will report to executive vice president and chief financial officer of Turner Broadcasting, Pascal Desroches, and work closely with president of Turner Broadcasting System International, Gerhard Zeiler.

Van der Wal joined Turner in 2014, prior to which he worked for three years as CEO of listings magazine Time Out.
