Ownit overtakes Com Hem as fastest Swedish ISP, says Netflix
Swedish internet service provider Ownit overtook Com Hem in March to become the country’s fastest ISP for the first time since June 2014, according to Netflix.
The Netflix ISP Speed Index for March found Ownit to have an average speed of 3.95 Mbps, while ComHem dropped down to second place with speeds of 3.93 Mbps.
In Luxembourg, Visual Online jumped two places to top that country’s ranking for the first time. Visual Online was found to have an average speeds of 4.16 Mbps, while Numericable and Lux Online each fell one spot to second and third place respectively, posting average speeds of 4.08 Mbps.
In France, Numericable overtook Bouygues Telecom as the fastest ISP in March with average speeds of 3.76 Mbps. Meanwhile in Norway Get forced Altibox into second place, leading the market with speeds of 3.88 Mbps.
Rankings among the top ISPs in Netflix’s other European markets remained unchanged in March, with Unitymedia KabelBW leading in Germany and Virgin Media top in the UK.
