ORF relaunches Austrian VoD site Flimmit
Austrian public broadcaster ORF has relaunched video-on-demand site Flimmit with a new layout and expanded content offering after investing in the firm.
Some 4,000 predominantly German-language titles – with a focus on Austrian productions – are now available on the service.
Viewers can access the service for €7.50 per month, or €19.90 for a three-month subscription. An introductory offer will also allow users to pay €49.90 for a year’s access, as opposed to €75 per year.
Flimmit launched in 2007, with ORF first reported to be in talks to buy into the firm last summer ahead of Netflix’s launch in Austria later last year.
