Liberty Global gives Salaets Austria and Switzerland role
UPC Austria and UPC Cablecom, the new combined organization for Liberty Global’s networks in Austria and Switzerland, has appointed Benny Salaets as VP of strategy and business development.
Salaets, who previously worked for Belgian operator Telenet in a number of product management and business development roles, will take up his new post within the Liberty Global group on April 1.
Matthias Krieb, previously in charge of strategy and transformation, will take on a new role within the regional organization as VP of cable access. In this new role, Krieb will focus on the commercial management as well as the positioning and development of the triple-play cable connection.
