YFE’s RiC launches on Unitymedia KabelBW

Liberty Global-owned German cable operator Unitymedia KabelBW is adding Your Family Entertainment-owned kids channel RiC TV to its programming line-up.

The channel will be available unencrypted on the cable network and on the Horizon Go mobile TV app. RiC TV is aimed at kids aged three to 13.

Unitymedia KabelBW already broadcasts RiC TV’s sister channel Fix & Foxi. Content on the channel includes Marvin, das Steppende Pferd (Marvin, the Dancing Horse), Der Kleine Bär (The Little Bear) and Ferdy.

The cable operator’s SVP of marketing and product management Christian Hindennach said that the launching of the channel on the platform provided an additional option for parents who valued non-violent, child-friendly content.

YFE recently launched a version of the channel in Slovakia as a joint-venture with Bratislava-based Joj TV.
