YouTube trials multi-angle video tool
YouTube is trialling a new feature that will allows viewers to view videos from multiple camera angles.
The new feature, which can be accessed now on a video of musician Madilyn Bailey, lets viewers click different thumbnails during playback to switch camera view.
The test video is taken from a YouTube Music Night live performance, recorded at YouTube’s content creator studio space in Los Angeles.
However, YouTube is now inviting US-based YouTubers that are interested in using the ‘choose your view’ function on their own videos to sign up online, promising to “be in touch as we make this feature more available.”
The news comes a month after it was reported that YouTube was working to support 360 degree videos in the coming weeks, giving viewers a perspective on everything going on in a video.
