MBC’s Al Arabiya appoints new general manager

MBC has upped Al Arabiya journalist Turki al-Dakhil to the position of general manager at the Arab news channel. 

Al-Dakhil takes over the role from Adel Altoraifi, who has been named as the new Saudi minister of culture and information.

MBC Group’s chairman Sheikh Waleed Al-Ibrahim announced the appointment and said that hiring al-Dakhil was part of its “commitment to continuously enhance Al Arabiya’s performance; especially that he is one of the channel’s most prominent journalists.”

“I have full confidence in Al-Dakhil’s professional capabilities and his proven track-record speaks for itself.”
