Food Network launches on Magyar Telekom in Hungary
Scripps Networks UK and EMEA has launched Food Network on the Magyar Telekom platform in Hungary.
The channel is available on Magyar Telekom’s Nagyvilág Minipay package as part of a revamped TV offering by the service provider.
In a bid to simplify its TV package structure and unify its offerings across IPTV, satellite and cable, new Magyar Telekom subscribers can now choose from two new mini-package offerings – Nagyvilág (Great World) and Filmvilág (World of Films).
The Nagyvilág option offers 20 information and entertainment channels covering news, documentary channels, music services and foreign-language services – including Travel Channel and Food Network.
Filmvilág contains 18 channels with a focus on movies. Its channels include Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Comedy Channel Extra.
“The launch of Food Network in Hungary, customised in local language, further demonstrates our commitment to serving our audiences and our desire to connect with them more deeply,” said Jon Sichel, managing director, Scripps Networks UK and EMEA.
“We already have a strong partnership with Magyar Telekom, having successfully launched Travel Channel on the platform, and we are confident that our high-quality programming will continue to resonate with new viewers.”
