OTT provider Polsky.TV orders PeerTV Android boxes
OTT TV technology provider PeerTV has received an additional order for its eTV Android set-top boxes from Polish international online TV provider Polsky.TV worth US$490,000. PeerTV has already delivered an initial batch of its eTV boxes to the company.
Polsky.TV delivers a range of Polish channels to expatriates in a number of countries and recently launched in the UK, targeting the estimated 600,000 Polish speaker resident in that country. The UK network offers about 30 channels including Polish public broadcast services, entertainment channels, music services, kids channels and sports.
Peer TV will supply the H.265/HEVC-based boxes to Polsky.TV to enable it to deliver TV services over the internet. PeerTV said it is developing a remote management system for the box, which was initially demonstrated last year at IBC, ahead of delivering the devices.
