EE begins commercialising TV service

UK mobile service provider EE has begun commercialising its TV service in its network of stores nationwide. 

EE is making its set-top box, provided by France’s Netgem, available or free to mobile customers that also take a broadband plan worth €9.95 a month or more.

The service provides access to Freeview channels and a Replay service that gives access to all content broadcast over the previous day as well as additional catch-up and on-demand services, including BBC iPlayer, Demand 5 and Wuaki.tv.

Apps provided with the service include Muzu, Box+, YouTube, BBC Sport, BBC News and The Weather Network.
