Beeline launches catch-up TV
Russian service provider VimpelCom, which operates under the Beeline brand, has launched a catch-up TV service, initially in the Moscow region.
The service will make a range of content available to Beeline TV subscribers for 48 hours after its initial broadcast. The service will cover content from 80 channels, including Animal Family, My Planet, History, MTV HD, Nick Jr, Nickelodeon, Nickelodeon HD, History HD and Science 2.0. Availability will depend on the packages selected by individual subscribers.
VimpelCom is charging its customers RUB80 a month (€1.50) for the catch-up service.
Anna Rizhikova, director of marketing and product development for broadband and digital TV, said that the number of channels available would be increased on an ongoing basis.
