Deutsche Telekom relaunches TV apps with Norigin

Deutsche Telekom has re-launched its live stream TV applications using the Hybrid Apps product from TV everywhere company Norigin. 

The streaming apps include content from national channels Sky Bundesliga, ZDF, ARD, ProSieben and SAT.1 and the service is live on smartphones and tablets across iOS and Android devices.

Norigin ́s customised application suite was licensed to Deutsche Telekom and uses HTML5 across all devices with a single cloud hosted backend. Deutsche Telekom’s native apps now also use Norigin ́s newly introduced OTT TV and video content security system.

“A TV streaming service is a unique business and we are happy that Norigin Media have launched all these new customised apps for us in a short and efficient few months utilising their Hybrid Apps product suite. We are looking to reach out to the expansive mobile user market across Germany who can easily subscribe to our Mobile TV services directly from their personal devices,” said Gert von Manteuffel, vice president, product management TV, Deutsche Telekom.
