Trace extends Trace Sport Stars deal with MultiChoice
Europe-based channel group Trace said it will “significantly increase” the reach of Trace Sport Stars in the African market, after extending its deal with pay TV firm MultiChoice.
Trace Sport Stars will move to the Extra, Compact and Family packages of MultiChoice-owned pay TV operator DStv as of the end of the month.
Previously the channel, which is dedicated to sport and celebrity, was only available as part of the DStv Premium package.
“We are excited to be extending our deal with MultiChoice to bring Trace Sport Stars’ unique sport and entertainment programming to a much wider audience base across Africa,” said Laurent Dumeau, CEO of Trace Sport Stars.
“With an ever-increasing demand for the Trace brand in the region it is important we reach those fans that have not previously been able to access the channel. We are confident the channel will bring those subscribers a great mix of content where sport meets glamour and scandal, and where athletes reveal their real lives and personalities.”
