ThinkAnalytics unveils MyThinkTV user interface

TV search and recommendations firm ThinkAnalytics is due to unveil a new concept user interface called MyThinkTV at IBC.

The concept UI supports all ThinkAnalytics’ personalised recommendations techniques and can be used to browse linear and VOD content, the firm said.

MyThinkTV supports features including: social integration with services like Twitter; image, clip and trailer discovery; simulated learning based on consumption data; personalised browsing by genre; what’s on now, next and tonight; moods; and series and episode navigation.

It works on PCs and the web, across iPad and Android tablets and supports multiple languages, time zones and types of user – including logged-in users and anonymous sessions.

“MyThinkTV provides our customers with a great concept UI that they can use to simulate different use cases using their own metadata. They can then use the results to help them design their nextgen UI – one in which recommendations will take centre stage,” said Peter Docherty, founder and chief technology officer, ThinkAnalytics.

“Adding recommendations as an integral part of the standard UI is becoming the norm – and something that a number of our customers have already successfully implemented, allowing them to reap the benefits with reduced churn, increased on-demand sales, and improved consumer satisfaction.”
