Netia sees uptake of TV grow amidst mixed results
Polish fixed-line operator Netia saw revenue and revenue-generating units fall slightly year-on-year for the first half of 2014, but delivered profitablity on the basis of better results on its own network.
The company said that 35% of customers on its own network now took services bundled with TV.
Revenue for the second quarter amounted to PLN422.2 million (€100 million), down 3%. Adjusted EBITDA was PLN125 million, down 7% on the first quarter.
Total RGUs at the end of June numbered 2.424 million, down 2%. However the number of RGUs on Netia’s own network increased by 1%.
Separately, Netia announced that it had named Jonathan Eastick as its new chief financial officer.
