IBC and CTAM Europe EuroSummit unveil speaker highlights
Forthcoming industry conferences the IBC and CTAM Europe’s EuroSummit have unveiled strong speaker line-ups.
The IBC has announced that outgoing EC vice-president and digital agenda commssioner Neelie Kroes will keynote the event on Friday September 12 at 18:00. Kroes will set out the challenges ahead including her views on the internal market for audio-visual and telecoms, as well as the latest thinking on the use of the UHF spectrum band 470-790 MHz.
The CTAM Europe EuroSummit, which has already announced that Netflix CEO Reed Hastings will keynote along with Liberty Global president and CEO Mike Fries, has outlined its agenda in more detail.
Day one of the event, which takes place in Copenhagen from September 17-19, will feature Ben Pyne, president of global distribution at Disney Media Networks, and Markus Christen, INSEAD professor of marketing, who will share their views on the change in the media landscape and on tapping into new trends in our industry.
Fries and Hastings interview keynote with CNBC’s Carolin Roth on day two will be followed by a CEO Forum including Bill Livek, CEO of Rentrak, Brian Sullivan, CEO of Sky Deutschland, Jon Sichel, MD of UK and EMEA at Scripps Networks International, Matthias Kurth, chairman of Cable Europe, John Rossiter, MD of SPT Network CEE and Andrew Barron, COO of Com Hem.
