BT Media and Broadcast teams up with Nevion

Media services unit BT Media and Broadcast has teamed up with video transport specialist Nevion to provide joint media networks solutions to broadcasters worldwide.

The agreement will see the companies integrate BT’s Global Media Network service with Nevion’s video compression and transport equipment to provide combined solutions to global broadcasters.

“We are obviously delighted with this agreement. We have a relationship with BT that goes back a long way. We even have a technical centre of excellence on BT’s Adastral Park campus in Ipswich, UK, which means we can work very closely together,” said Nevion CEO Geir Bryn-Jensen.

“So formalising the relationship made a lot of sense, given the clear benefits BT and Nevion can offer jointly to our customers and our proven track record of delivering solutions together.”
