CNBC hires international digital chief
News network CNBC has recruited John Armah as head of digital for its international business.
Amrah will oversee the NBCUniversal-owned news net’s digital strategy in all territories outside the US, incorporating audience development and digital video production.
He has worked in a variety of consultancy roles as well as serving a ten-year stint at UK newspaper the Financial Times. Amrah fills the role vacated by Deepanshu Bagchee whi has relocated to CNBC’s headquarters in New Jersey to become vice president, product & design, CNBC Digital.
Amrah will be based in CNBC’s London office and report to John Casey, senior VP, international news and programming. He said: “John’s digital experience will enable us to further develop our digital offering and continue to grow our influential and affluent audience around the world, no matter what platform they use to engage with our content.”
