ATVOD appoints economist Robin Foster to board

The UK’s Authority for Television On Demand (ATVOD) has appointed economist and founding member of consultants Communications Chambers, Robin Foster, as independent board member and director.

Foster, who as an economist specialises in policy, strategy and regulation in the media and teleco sectors, has previously served as a strategy partner to Ofcom and helped establish the UK broadcast regulator.

He also previously led the strategy and economics team at the Independent Television Commission, was a strategy director at the BBC, and has been an adviser to the UK House of Lords Communications Committee.
