UPC Austria adding 11 HD services

Liberty Global-owned UPC Austria is adding 11 new HD channels o its line-up. The move takes the total number of HD services on the platform to 72, including Sky Deutschland’s premium service channels.

From tomorrow, UPC Austria will add EinsFestival HD and ZDFinfo HD from German public broadcasters ARD and ZDF, the addition of which will enhance UPC Austria’s coverage, in HD, of the forthcoming World Cup from Brazil.

UPC will also add HD versions of Eins Plus, SF2, Phoenix, Sports 1, MDR and SWR to its UPC TV Start and Plus packages in the near future.

It will also add Aminal Planel HD, Nat Geo People HD and Universal Channel HD to its Super FIT Family, Top FIT and Mega FIT packages.
