Teleste to introduce DOCSIS 3.1 solutions

Teleste is due to introduce a number of new DOCSIS 3.1-compliant solutions and products at ANGA COM this year.

The firm said that these are designed to improve network capacity and evolve networks towards the upcoming DOCSIS 3.1 standard.

Among the product offerings to be announced at the show are: Teleste’s AC1500 and AC2500 amplifiers for DOCSIS 3.1 environments; its DOCSIS 3.1 ACE8 node with wireless management and its AC810 fibre optic node; and Teleste’s 3D line, it’s new DOCSIS 3.1-compliant family of RF passives.

Another DOCSIS 3.1-compliant access product that will be on show is Teleste’s BarrIER technology – a solution for reducing ingress/egress issues within the in-home access networks.

Teleste will also showcase its DOCSIS Access Hub, which is now available for shipping, its Teleste Luminato headend offering and its new Teleste Palomino IP-to-analogue TV converter.

“Consumer demand for higher broadband speeds has been constantly growing for several years. More and more network capacity is required especially for streaming video, and the upcoming DOCSIS 3.1 standard addresses that demand. However, pressure to ensure high quality of services is at the same time increasing,” said

Hanno Narjus, Teleste’s senior vice president of video and broadband solutions.

“With the help of our significant experience in the cable industry, we are striving to help our customers keep ahead of the tightening competition.”

Teleste will exhibit at ANGA COM in hall 10.2, stand E19.
