Arris expects big uplift in second quarter
Technology provider Arris expects a significant boost in revenues in the second quarter with an order backlog of close to US$1 billion (€720 million).
Arris currently has a backlog of US$996.1 million and expects Q2 revenues to reach between US$1.41 billion and US$1.45 billion.
The company reported an increase in revenues quarter-on-quarter in the three months to March, turning in sales of US$1.225 billion, up 2.2% on the three months to December.
Arris’s revenues for the comparable period last year, prior to its acquisition of Motorola Home, stood at US$353.7 million.
“We had a strong first quarter achieving record revenue levels. As we had anticipated last quarter, 2014 is shaping up to be our best year so far. Continued product deployments, new product acceptances, and an expanding international interest will continue to drive overall improved performance,” said Bob Stanzione, Arris’s chairman and CEO.
