New Polish factual channel replaces TVP1 standard definition

A new Polish factual and educational channel, Fokus TV, is this week replacing the standard definition version of public channel TVP1 on the country’s digital-terrestrial platform. Fokus TV will also be available on various service providers’ TV platforms, including Cyfrowy Polsat, nc+ and cable and IPTV platforms including that of Netia.  

The channel will air on the first digital multiplex, having secured the last available slot on the platform, replacing the

SD version of TVP1, which will now be available in HD only as part of the third mux.
