FIC continues Nat Geo People rollout

Fox International Channels said will launch its new Nat Geo People channel in a total of 50 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific, following its rollout in Germany over the weekend.

In Germany the network is now available on the KDG, Unity and Kabel Baden Württemberg pay TV platforms, and with its further expansion, FIC said the channel will consolidate the variety of its TV offer in Europe.

Nat Geo People first launched in Turkey on Turksat and TTNET in January, and in Italy on Sky Italia in March.

In both cases, the network replaced the Nat Geo Adventure channel, which National Geographic Channels International is phasing out in favour of Nat Geo People.

The channel is billed as offering “unfiltered, intimate access to the true, amazing and inspiring stories of real people all over the world” and features a mix of programming, designed to complement sister networks National Geographic Channel and Nat Geo Wild.
