New Kabel Deutschland CEO Cubero named to Vodafone board

Manuel Cubero, who will take over from Adrian von Hammerstein as CEO of Kabel Deutschland (KDG) on April 1, has been named as a member of the supervisory board of Vodafone Deutschland.

Cubero, previously chief commercial officer at KDG, will be responsible for the integrated business’s fixed-line activities as head of its new department of consumer, fixed and cable, reporting to Vodafone Deutschland CEO Jens Schulte-Bockum.

Outgoing KDG CEO Von Hammerstein will also serve on the Vodafone Deutschalnd board alongside Cubero.

Vodafone is widely expected to drop the Kabel Deutschland name after the integration of the company is complete and market all its services in Germany under the Vodafone brand.
