TV4 strikes deal with YouTube

Swedish commercial broadcaster TV4 Group has struck an agreement with YouTube to make TV4 Play services available on the video sharing platform. 

TV4 said it was currently developing video blogs and dedicated channels for YouTube and had hired two new staff members to work on strengthening TV4’s YouTube presence.

TV4 has already launched a series of YouTube channels including Nyhetsmorgon , TV4Nyheterna , TV4 Sport, Let’s Dance and the group’s Parliament channel.

TV4 last year created a dedicated version of the Swedish version of the Idol franchise for YouTube, which it said generated millions of views.
