Maxisat partners with Arris for multiscreen Content Hub expansion

Finland-based multiscreen TV services firm Maxisat has selected Arris to provide a multiple bitrate (MBR) transcoder to power the international expansion of its Content Hub video solution.

Maxisat has selected Arris’ GT-3 MBR Transcoder, which it says will allow it to host and operate infrastructure on behalf of service providers, offering significant cost and bandwidth savings.

Maxisat said it plans to expand Content Hub – a core part of its end-to-end multiscreen video solution Maxicaster – so that international service providers and broadcasters can rapidly introduce online multiscreen services without the traditional complexity and cost associated with multiscreen infrastructure, operations, and content distribution.
